So now that you've mastered it, what are you going to do with it? Oh the options are endless... and once you've got the basic idea, there are so many variations to play with...
My favourite, is making a more solid circle and square pattern which is a little less grannie and a little more cool... like this one in the photo above, which we used for a baby blanket... this really suits cotton yarn and is so versatile.
So here's some quick takes to get you inspired...
Think Fiesta!
This super fun, bright pattern is from Zooty Owl, perfect made into a throw or cushions for an outdoor space like these ones found on Ashe + Leandro (centre) and Style by Emily Henderson (bottom right), makes me think of this cute Spanish scene found on Casa de Coto - who also sell amazing crocheted products!
Moody Blues...
If you're into subtle colour this could be a bit more you... This stunning pattern is from 3 Beans in a Pod using ecru and earthy tones would look great as a throw with this stunning duvet set by DENY from Urban Outfitters (centre) or in this neutral toned home found on Anthropologie (bottom left) paired with lovely blue glasswear found on Happy Interior Blog.
Now of course if you love the little old grannie, you could use it as an update for this previous pattern right here on SC! It would work really well in this 4ply wool, nice warm classic brights...
If you've paid close attention, you'll notice all of these options have about 5 colours in them... so pick your palette and go for it!
